In this post I'm going to show you how to make a pom pom! Pom Poms are great to attach to your work. They're great accents for hats, pillows, or anything else your heart desires.

How to Make a Pom Pom
Step 1: Wrap a good amount of your yarn around your hand. The more yarn that you use, the fuller your pom pom will be.
Step 2: Cut your yarn from the ball. Cut another piece of yarn, and string it through the middle of the yarn wrapped around your hand. Make sure the piece of yarn that you cut is long enough to be able to attach your pom pom to your work later.
Step 3: Tie a knot with the piece of yarn that you stringed through the middle of the yarn wrapped around your hand. I personally like to make several knots to make sure the pom pom is secure. Make sure your knot is tight, as this is the piece that will hold your pom pom together.
Step 4: Holding the tail with the knot, cut through the opposite end of the yarn that was wrapped around your hand. It will look a bit floppy.
Step 5: Separate the tail from the rest of your pom pom. Start trimming the opposite end until your pom pom has the desired look.
